Online Academy

We place students in interplanetary classes based on their level, which aligns with the standards of the United States, rather than their grade level. To effectively manage students' achievement levels, we adopt and implement globally recognized assessment tools, such as IXL, Scholastic LitPro, and Renaissance Learning Programs. These tools ensure that students stay on track during their long-term English education journey.

In addition, our students practice phonics, grammar, and writing activities that are aligned with their main learning topics. To enhance their English Language Arts (ELA) skills, they complete IXL learning activities that focus on vocabulary, foundational skills, reading strategies, and writing strategies. As they progress through their learning journey, they can also explore other subject areas such as math, science, and social studies to broaden their knowledge base.

Reading Program

"Reading Ranger" provides a great balance of both familiar and new content at an appropriate level, enabling children to reinforce their knowledge while learning new material without becoming overwhelmed. The Leveled Readers books are structured according to the GRL (Guided Reading Levels), which ensures consistency in difficulty levels, builds confidence, and maintains interest as children progress through the material.`

Al Recommended book system

"The Recommended Book System” is designed to recommend books to students based on their reading data, such as their SR/Lexile level and the number of words they have read.

Class (Novel, Vocabulary, Nonfiction)

Purple Academy’s online classes are taught weekly via ZOOM. The classes are taught by one of our many experienced foreign teachers that provide each student with the relevant cultural contexts and language support. Students are then able to engage in thoughtful and lively discussions and to successfully complete the exercises and assignments. As most classes only have a few students, Purple Academy online classes are friendly and inviting environments where students can build meaningful friendships as they learn.

Writing feedback

Nearly all Purple Academy classes have at least one required weekly writing assignment. Each assignment allows students to respond to what they have read or discussed in class. Purple Academy offers students the opportunity to have native speakers give thorough informed feedback on their writing assignments. All student writing is proofread and accompanied by a feedback form that encourages students to build on their strengths and how to work on areas of improvement. Depending on the program, online teacher also record a short explanatory video to provide further explanation.
